The Teacher Training Program at the Universityof the Panjab in Lahore, Pakistan operated in the period from 1959 to 1967. The program wassponsored by a grant from the International Cooperation Administration and administered bythe Indiana University School of Education. The purpose of this program was to develop theInstitute of Education and Research at the University of the Panjab, a graduate levelinstitution geared towards training current and future teachers in Pakistan. This initiativeincluded providing advisory personnel and technical assistance to aid in the building,staffing, equipping, and operating of the Institute. It focused on developing curricula anddegree programs, hiring faculty and staff, creating a research library, and promotingacademic research and publishing in the field of Education. The collection includescorrespondence, personnel information, and project reports.
